I'm brand-spanking-new to wordpress and the world of creating websites in general, so I'm hoping I'm asking an easy question that I can fix easily. I'm trying to change the margins in my theme (Good Theme). The forums I've looked at tell me to go to style.css in my theme folder and paste some code that's given to me, but I don't see anything that says "style.css". I only see "edit css", which takes me to a blank box that I can't type anything in. At the bottom it asks if I want to view the theme's css or if I want to add my own page to it, but it all seems useless because I can't seem to get to a place where I'm allowed to type anything into the text box or get to a style sheet that lets me make any adjustments whatsoever.

Am I overlooking something simple or doing something wrong? Is it the theme's problem? Should I get a more versatile theme? (I've tried a couple of other themes, and I had the same problem when I tried to enter something into the blank css box- not even a cursor will appear.) Am I just not understanding what's suppose to be done with the css? Is there a magic spell I should be chanting? Is it a secret box that only wizards can type into? *bang head against wall*

Go to Appearance > Editor and then edit style.css. Better yet, create a child theme and edit the css there.
