I did install WordPress on local webserver running on Mac OS X 10.3.5 and it works fine....really an easy install.
BUT, when I am going to upload all my work that I have done locally to my webhost, I get several errors....
    When accessing main area:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /customers/chelseascorner.com/chelseascorner.com/httpd.www/wp-blog-header.php on line 455
    When accessing admin area:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /customers/chelseascorner.com/chelseascorner.com/httpd.www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 221
    and so on...."sigh"...nothing works.
    My simple question is: WHY?
It works really fine on my own webserver!
    Please help...

What did you use to FTP the files to the server?

Yes, it's likely something got corrupted when you uploaded. The line numbers indicated in the error messages are a good place to start looking.

I used Bulletproof http://FTP...but I changed to Fetch and some of the stuff works now...but not the admin area though...weird...

I know that wne I first started uplaoding PHP files, the FTP client I was using didn't have the setting to send PHP as text, and so it sent it as binary, which caused me some problems. Once I changed the setting to send php files as ASCII, all was well with the world.

I got it to work! It was the Bulletproof FTP program that messed everything up...with Fetch it all worked.
    Thanks for the replies.
