• Go here to get a snapshot of what happens when I click on the Like button. I get a box for user input that is cut off. I have the width set to 630 so there is no reason for it to cut off. The send button works ok.

I have no idea how to deal with this. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve noticed that other plugins do the same.

It seems like you are having an issue with the Like Button’s display, not the output of the WordPress plugin for interpretation by the Facebook JavaScript SDK. Not an issue specific to the WordPress plugin.

You comment “Not an issue specific to the WordPress plugin” confuses me. The plugin provides the code to display not only the Facebook like button but also the box the user interacts with in order to post to Facebook. That box does not display properly. From my perspective one solution is to remove the plugin and use another one, so to me the problem is with the plugin.

In fact I did try another author’s plugin which displayed properly, but their Post to Facebook button did not post the article to Facebook, so they have a different problem.
