I Cant Access The Files I Need…..

    hey all,,i was wondering if anyone out here is using godaddy hosting ,,im only asking because i am and i installed wordpress on their hosting just by clicking install,, i thought that would be it,,I WAS WRONG,,there are things i cant access Like my htacces, I cant change my permissions to 777 to edit my blog or to use adsense CAN someone please tell me how i can acess these files ,,i called godaddy and they tell me they do not support wordpress they only offer it as an application….i also tried reinstalling it once in the root,, and the second time in a folder and still was not able to access my files..

    I don’t understand what you mean by “I cant access my files”. What files are you trying to access?

    A files permissions can be changed with an FTP program.

    i am trying to access my HTaccess, and also change the permissions of a blog to edit ,,and change the sidebar,and so on the permission 777 to edit

    Are you using an FTP program?

    yes i am using the godaddy ftp client because its easier to use since they already had wordpress as an application install,and of course all the work i do on my desktop shows instantly on the local side of the ftp client,, PS..i had a hell of a time updating my wordpress 2.3 to 2.3.1 on the ftp client ,,i read all of the install tips and troubleshooting tips on the forums with no luck,but that altogether is a diffrent story..
