    Hello,
I cannot see my blog on the Internet. My blog it's activated, I got the email for that.
However no one can see my blog online unless they follow the link I send them. How do I get my blog on the Internet?

If you can send people and link and it works, then your blog is already on the internet.

    Yup, it's already there.
What you are trying to achieve though, is to make your blog appear in search engines as well, and rank for certain terms or keywords.
This practice is called SEO (Search Engine Optimization), its not easy, but little by little you will get to understand how it works. Just start by researching about SEO for beginners.
And of course, it has also nothing to do with wordpress itself, so it might be not the best to place to get the support and help that you require.
    Cheers.

When I type it in on yahoo or google it does not come up. But as I see for others theirs come up. Can I change something in my settings to get mine to where people can just type me in and find me?

Type the URL into Google. If your website appears within the results, Google has indexed your website, otherwise let us know.

Try a SEO plugin to help boost your website up the results rankings once you've indexed your website.

Ok I tried it in google and it didn't show up. What is a SEO plugin? How do I get one? I'm new to these things.

To index your website on Google, Google has provided an informative webpage explaining the steps to accomplish this.

An SEO plugin is a plugin that provides Search Engine Optimisation.
Here are the instructions how to install Yoast SEO plugin.

If you have just setup your WordPress, it will take a few days to a week for your site to appear on Google. You can speed up the process by signing up for an account at Google Webmaster Tools and submitting your site.

Its important to clarify a bit about seo plugins.
They are not the magic tools that will automatically rank you higher, but they may help to target keywords, suggest the titles, and tune up your post to get better results, (provided you know you are doing).
The Yoast plugin mentioned above though, also does a great thing is that is submits the sitemaps directly to search engines whenever you make a new post, thus helping it index faster with search engines.
I personally use 'Google XML Sitemaps' for this purpose, but that's perhaps just a matter of personal preference.
One important thing to know about indexing, is that submitting the sitemap to google, wont automatically guarantee indexing of your content.
If the site is fresh, and also has been having some low quality content on it, then the indexing might even take weeks.
So I would advice just to focus on quality, and get a good amount of patience. That the way...
    Cheers ;)

It will be much faster if your site has high traffic and has link backs from other websites.

Yup, once you submit the sitemap you just have to wait...
You can signup for google webmaster tools: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
To see the actual state of your submission.
It show how many pages were submitted through your sitemap, and how many have been indexed.
You can also manually submit pages, see your keywords and search impressions, and track the backlinks. - A must have tool for any site promotion.

In a way yes but it has nothing to do with WordPress but search engines like google, Yahoo and Bing. They control this planet so you just have to be patient. It can take up to 3 months before your site is even listed anywhere on the list.

Important thing is to have good quality content that everybody wants to have a look at it. If your site only says something like

[Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!]
forever then forget it. Google won't be interested in you.

    Good luck.

In future inquire on WordPress.com for WordPress.com-related issues and don't advertise your WordPress website unless you're on the Your WordPress forum and want reviews.

and don't advertise your WordPress website unless you're on the Your WordPress forum and want reviews.

Sound like Pot calling the kettle!!! I have seen your posts in which you are pedaling your website which is completely useless for people using wordpress.

Moderator can decide whether you should be allowed to post your website link.

I am new to wordpress okay I did not know I could not post that here.

  20. @mytaxsite.co.uk? Nicely please, Andrew's right in that you should post your WordPress site in, uh, the section called "Your WordPress". No need for glass house references. Or kettle calling. Or insert your favorite metaphor here. ;)

@thereallylongusernamedonnasmith? You have a WordPress.COM blog (says so in your profile here) and you are posting in the wrong forum. Please post in http://en.forums.wordpress.com/ instead that way you'll get support from the right people.

This is the support forum for self-hosted WordPress.ORG installations. For a list of the differences see this article.

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    It's a common misunderstanding.
