hello
i have a problem with ulpaoding and installing plugins , themes , photos ,exporting ..... . although i have reinstalled wordpress from scratch
i get alwayes an error of
'Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.'
i think the reason is the safe mode from the the provider !!!
do you have any ideas ? i need a solution.
i can not uplaod or install any thing from dashboard (9 posts)

no , for example , when i want to install a theme , it shows some thing like that
the file is being extracted : (the theme name or the plugin name ...) then :
'Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.
sorry , i do not know if it's the correct translation because i using a non - english version , but it is something like that -
Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

when i changed the permissio,s back to 755, the problem appeared, i got the same error ?

Then you may have to leave the permissions set at 767.
