I am getting "Error from last API Key attempt:" Stats was installed using a different API key. The owner of the original key can add users to the access list, or you can contact WordPress.com support....
Anyone?
It was working fine until a couple of hours ago...

Message on Site Stats for my blog:
Your WordPress.com account, [wp.com acctname] is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.

You are not a member of this site.
If you have just installed the WordPress.com Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.
The owner of the API key must visit this site's stats page to grant access.
You are logged into WordPress.com as newscorpse. To switch accounts, log out.
I did not just install and I am the owner of the API Key. I changed nothing. I checked my stats a few hours ago and all was fine. I checked them just now and get the messages above. I cannot access any utility (that I know of) to check my API Key.
I'm using WP 3.1 and WP Stats 1.81
Thanks in advance for any help.
I installed the Jetpack plugin, and activated the stats there.
Worked for all the 4 selfhosted wordpress pages I have.
I received the following message guess many of you have the same.
Your WordPress.com account, XXXX is not authorized to view the stats of this blog. Currently access to stats is broken for some users and we are working on fixing this. Your stats are still being counted and will be visible once we restore access for your account.
Installing Jetpack fixed the problem for me.
My stats are now working properly. I didn't do anything. It appears the good folks at WordPress fixed the problem.
Kudos.
Mine still with the message ... actually all my blog is a mess I am not sure if is because of that problem ...
I am not sure that this problem is entirely fixed. My Stats graph has a number of daily viewers for today that is about twenty times higher than the "views today" line at the bottom of the same page. All sounds very flaky.
Can anyone recommend a worthy alternative stats plugin? Is Google Analytics the next best option?
I should also add that amid these recent foibles, WP Stats has been counting my views, including views of draft posts, in totals. Anyone else seeing that?
Problem has NOT been fixed for everyone. I still cannot access statistics, and get the not authorized error. However, it was working until recently and I did not change ANY settings. Simply using a different plugin to track stats seems like a pretty bad "fix".
Now I can see my stats but they are not counting since 5 days ago? anyone knows what 's going on?
Replace the wp-stats plugin with Jetpack.
