I have recently discovered under the users settings that ANYONE can register and even receive a password to use my blog. They see everything that I have and this includes drafts. They are able to write new posts and so on. I DO NOT want this feature on my blog. How do I change this? I have looked over every setting that I could and have found no way to change it. The only way I found out about it was browsing and then saw that there was another user registered on MY BLOG!!! Why in the world would this be allowed????

I may end up leaving wordpress if this cannot be fixed!!!!!!!

Have you looked under "settings" and "general" where it says "anyone can register"? I suppose the box is checked? And a little below under "new user default rule" is most likely not "subscriber", but something like "editor" or even "administrator"?
Those are not the default setting by the way!

Thank you very much. I saw that setting many times and never realized that was what it was for. I thought that was for people that wanted to leave a comment. I suppose I thought that was what allowed them to comment. Thanks again!
