   I am having a problem uploading a theme AND uploading an xml file in a studiopress theme.

   I continue to get an error, "The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/1ultima1.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads", when I try to install a new theme or import an xml file.

   One last thing, if I want to upload an xml file, which importer should I use? The wordpess importer is asking for a wxr file and I am trying to upload an xml file. Am I using the right importer for an xml file? If not, which one should I use?

   Any assistance would be appreciated

   You need to change the permissions on the /uploads folder.

   Yes, you have the right import file.

   Thanks Andrea!

   I forgot to mention in my original post that the permissions were set to 777. There IS a setting to have those permissions 'recurse into subdirectories' which IS NOT checked. I will try it, but should it be checked?

   Let me know...
