   Hi,

   I used to be a web developer, but now I am not. I am tired of the work it takes to maintain my plugin as WordPress changes and API stuff is broken. I don't have the time or energy to figure out what is different in each version of WordPress- the latest version really broke things. I've 33k downloads and people email me every week asking me for help/updates/fixes. The plugin is called Better Backgrounds. What should I do?

   You could contact plugins [at] wordpress.org and ask for the plugin to removed from the Plugin Repository. Or you could look around for someone to take the plugin over from you.

   I just had a fantastic idea! How about you made your position clear on entry of plugin? I realize this is being user friendly way over what can be expected, plugins typically just die, but wont you also benefit from this bold move?

   -10 points if you dont.
   +10 points if you do.

   Could also state plugin would be thankful for a takeover.

   And remove your email address ;)
