• I activate W3TC and my site dies. The landing page appears full of random character and question mark filled diamond shapes exactly the same as this image (http://imgur.com/70hNyP8) posted by another member.
I turn the plugin off and my site returns immediately. I’ve configured settings as recommended by various commentators to no avail.
Turn it on – kills my site, turn it off, right back on!
I’ve deleted and reinstalled and tried numerous configurations, but the result is the same.
I’m not a coder by the way, but I’m more than happy to dive into the code if anyone can help me with a solution.
    Hope somebody can help.
    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Update:
I’ve just been toggling on and off each setting and it appears that checking the ‘Page Cache‘ is what cause the site to display a page full of random code.

    Come on Frederick, any clues?

    Cheers,
    Jeff

Same thing happened to me, except that the theme appearance was killed, not the whole site completely. Turned off the plugin too for now. BTW it happened right after I cleared the cache

Hi Mainspring, Thank you for your replies. Followed your link and I’m happy to try their recommendations, however, I’m a somewhat unimpressed by the response from the plugin author.
This problem seems to be more that the odd flash in the pan and when you’re faced with an issue that renders your site useless, a better response from the plugin creators wouldn’t go amiss.

    Thanks again for your response.

exact same issue here. W3C Total Crash (sorry, couldn’t help it – not trying to bash the plugin , just wanted it to work so bad) , but it basically rendered my site useless.

    running WP4.0

This solved it for me. (check my comments)
