A few weeks ago, the visual editor's hyperlink button was working just fine.
I didn't do anything to the site for a few weeks.
And now, when that button is clicked, the popup window doesn't work.
I'm using Firefox and have allowed popups for the site.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

One of the plugins (Portfolio Slideshow) was causing the problem. It was out of date, and once I updated it, the hyperlink button started working.
