What does it mean when people try to access the link above? I often get 404s every now and then with people trying to access that link. What exactly are they clicking on, is it an honest mistake or does it mean someone is up to no good? I'm somewhat paranoid and whenever I see anyone entering wp-content, I immediately ban the ip address.

This folder and this file are not part of Jetpack, which is why you or your readers get 404 errors when trying to access this link.

Could you check if this file is indexed in Google? If so, that might explain why some of your readers try to access the page. To avoid the issue, you could add a redirection from this page to your site's home page, to notify Google that this file doesn't exist anymore.

You can create the redirection by editing the .htaccess file at the root of your WordPress installation.
