• Hi All,
I am very new to this and need some help.
I am using WordPress 3.9.2 running Alyeska theme, and have installed the plugin WordPress HTTPS (SSL) 3.3.6.
I got locked out the first time and used FTP to delete the file so that I could start again.

    The SSL host is: vancouver-seo-company.com
    There is no port set.

On some occasions the plugin will install and then ask to be activated, but then it goes to:
“Safari can’t open the page “https://www.vancouver-seo-company.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=wordpress-https%2Fwordpress-https.php&_wpnonce=93e0c5f82a” because Safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server “www.vancouver-seo-company.com”

On other occasions the dashboard will disappear after I have activated the plugin, or selected the “Force SSL” and be replaced by a message on Safari that states :
“Safari can’t open the page “https://www.vancouver-seo-company.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=wordpress-https%2Fwordpress-https.php&_wpnonce=93e0c5f82a” because Safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server “www.vancouver-seo-company.com”

I have also gone into the FTP code editor and followed the instructions to remove the “//” to reset the plugin. Once the plugin is reset, I then re enter the “//” back into the code.
After the code has been removed, I can get back into the dashboard.

I then go into “settings” and select the “Force SSL Administration.” This sends the screen to the above message from Safari.

I am not sure where to head to next. The site is still live, and I can access the dashboard, but I would like to complete this project.

    Any advice is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Peter
