Hi there,
it looks like you just found a bug in my plugin, congrats 🙂 I will include a fix in the next release. The problem is related to the use of HTTPS, which needs to be handled in a specific way.
To answer your questions, wp-slimstat.js is the tracking javascript WP SLimStat uses to retrieve some information about the user’s browser and screen (resolution, plugins used, etc)
Please test the new version as soon as it’s out, and let me know.
In the meanwhile, a vote for my plugin would be a nice way to show your support!

Ok, thanks for your information. I will still wait for the release and will do further tests. After that I will response to this thread…
I already voted for your plugin 😉

Hi AndyT,
this has been fixed in the new version. In the meanwhile, you can go to Settings > SlimStat > General, and change “Custom path” to use https instead of http. That should do it.

Hi Camu,
In this case everytime https is used or not? It should only use https if the website is opened by https, or not?
regards, Andyt
Hi there,
interesting point, indeed. I hadn’t thought about that. So you’re saying that your site has both http and https enabled and people choose whatever they like?

Maybe they are able to choose. If someone change http:// to https://…
However, some sides are forced for https (contact, teamspeak status) and some sides (includes all article) is normal http. Also the entry view use only http.
The Dashboard and Login/Logout use also forced https.
Good point, I will implement something that will make WP SlimStat choose the right protocol depending on the one being used to access the page 🙂

That would be a fine missing feature 🙂
In css files I’m able to use for picture “//domain.com/picture.jpg” instead of “http://domain.com/picture.jpg”. Don’t know if it would be simular for you?
Yep, it will be something like that 🙂
