   Hi,

   I have a new fresh installation of WP 2.9.2 and wanted to use the dashboard>themes interface for search and installation of new themes.

   Unfortunately the search option returns
   

   An Unexpected HTTP Error occured during the API request.

   , and when i checked the code it makes an http call to the http://api.wordpress.org/themes/info/1.0/.

   Accessing this URL from browser shows error
   

   503 Service Unavailable

   503 Service Unavailable
   The server is temporarily busy, try again later! Powered By LiteSpeed Web Server
   Lite Speed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site!

   Does anybody knows when WP publish the maintenance dates of the services and if there are any backup server for the themes search service?

   Thank you. Seems like a manual option it's a good solution :)

   Is there any page, where i can check about scheduled maintenance/status of wordpress.org services?

   No, there isn't, and I doubt that this problem was scheduled in any way.
