HTTP ERROR 503

    Hi,
    My website keeps showing this Error:

    This page isn’t working

    ********.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 503

    Sometimes the site will work as normal, but then it takes me to this page again. The website was working fine yesterday. I didn’t realize until a customer mentioned it to me this morning. I need help understanding why these errors happen, how can I fix and prevent them. I am new at this and I have no idea what to do. I would appreciate your help!

    Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

    Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

    You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.

    A 503 error can also indicate that the server itself, and not your site, is having a problem and can’t do what it’s meant to. If you can’t find any errors talk to your hosting comany and get them to investigate, as they will normally have access to more logs and diagnostics then you do.

    thank you for both answers, unfortunately I don’t have full access to the error logs, although the hosting co. did manage to get my site up and running again. I appreciate your help!
