Hi,
I have installed wp and logged in and made some alterations but can't get it to run. This is the error message:
This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
the URL is: http://www.churchstudiofranklin.com.au/index.php
Is there maybe a file missing? I had tried to upload a few times and my ftp log said some files were not loaded but I reloaded the whole site but now have this error... A real pain!
Help!
Cheers
Bill
Hi
500 errors generally are due to bad configuration in an .htaccess file
Try renaming that file temporarily and see what happens

I'm not sure what you mean. Is that in the database?
No, that is a file used when creating permalinks. You will find it on your server in the WordPress install folder.

I appreciate your help but I can not see that file anywhere on the web server! Any hints on where it is?
Hi
I was able to get to your login page at
http://www.churchstudiofranklin.com.au/wp-admin/
log in
go to Admin / Settings / permalinks
set your permalinks to default - see if that resolves the problem
