I followed all the steps to start selfhosting my WordPress blog and It appeared to be succesful. I could open my site but when I wanted to select my theme, all of a sudden, I can't open my site anymore. The default says 'internal server default' Website under construction or programming mistake.
How can I fix this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Greetings,
Liesbeth
Seems as if the the theme you tried use may not be compatible using ftp try rename the theme you using so the default theme can open.

Using ftp login on server and browse to wp-content/themes folder in themes folder you will see the themes installed just rename the one you using

It doesn't work. I renamed the theme but still, I can't open the wp-admin part of my site to continue working :(

A 500 error is an internal server configuration issue. Sometimes it can indicate incorrect file or directory permissions issues, sometimes an .htaccess file issue might cause it. A quick call to your host may help you solve the 500 error message.
If you are really using WordPress version: 2.6.3, there are some potentially serious security issues you need to address.

Thank you! I'll call my host to resolve the mystery then :)
And I will update my WordPress version, but I'm following some tutorial video's who work with this one so once I'm finished, I'll updat :)
Thanks for the info!
