    Hello,

I am new on WordPress and I dont understand everything yet.

I went online to visit some tutorial about how to embed. It seemed simple but aint working.

When I try to embed a map or an application widget onto a page, I go on "Text", copy the code and then I publish and nothing... when I want to preview first, it also disappears. I tried on Google Chrome, Safari, Mozila, Microsoft and Mac.

    What did I miss?

Do you have a live link to your site/the page this is happening on?

If you are using the visual editor, or switching between editors that causes code to get stripped.

It looks like your site is on WordPress.COM? If so, you cannot use iframes or javascript on your site - it's not allowed there.

These forums are for self-hosted WP.ORG sites, BTW.

I also use WordPress on my ipad. On my computer, I used the text editor to write the codes.

Leger> What do you mean? the link of my wordpress or the application I try to embed? On wordpress you won't be able to see anything, it vanishes

Got the issue for the Trip & Voyages page, I wanted to embed the Google map instead of linking it (on Follow my trip). I also wanted to embed about.me but I had to write it over instead.

You are on the wrong forums - WordPress.COM support is here:

    http://en.forums.wordpress.com/

And you CANNOT use any code like that on WordPress.COM sites.

These forums are for self-hosted WordPress.ORG sites - see this if you are confused about the differences:
