    I am adding this HTML to my text widget to get a color box that the text sits in, but it is not showing. Any thoughts as to why?:

    <div style="padding:12px;background-color:#D2AC80;line-height:1.4;">
    <h4>Welcome to Weather Thor’s Day</h4>, a weekly offering to the global conversation about the weather, from the perspective of Weather Shamanism.
    We dedicate Weather Thor’s Day to the spirits of weather and those willing to open their hearts to them.

    Our purpose is to engender and encourage greater understanding, wonderment, respect, and gratitude for the weathers of the world.

    Our desire is to support enlivened, harmonious relationships between humans and weather.

    To this end Weather Thor’s Day is a space for pertinent, provocative and celebratory teachings, anecdotes, factoids, current events and more regarding weather’s many manifestations, spiritual nature, and how weather and humans affect one another.

    This is the page it should show the About paragraph above in the right side column. http://weathershaman.com/home/thors-day

    I pulled the code from here: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/09/19/background-color-to-text/
    as I am not so up on HTML. Any thoughts?

    Please use pastebin.com for posting code.

    The code is fine and it shows up fine in IE9.

    Ok... well, I'm testing on Safari, Chrome & Firefox natively and no sign of the code there. I'm also using a test site for IE and it also doesn't show there??? So, you see the light brown box behind the text & the bold header?

    Yes, I see the box and the text in IE9, FF10 and Chrome. Ctlr, F5 will clear your browser cache.

    Cleared... can't see it on browsers I haven't opened in months. Weird.

    There are some errors, http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3a%2f%2fweathershaman.com%2fhome%2fthors-day

    But none of them should cause a difference between what you and I see. I can see the code also in the browser with FireBug, which is a given.

    You might try http://browsershots.org/ but they seem to have a problem currently. They will show what the page renders like on different browsers.
