OK, I've been trying to figure this out for some time. When I or anyone shares a post from my website to facebook the "description" text reads: You can use these tags: <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote cite=""> <cite> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong> : and is not editable. I have figured out how to remove this from the comments section of posts but it will not go away from facebook posts. Everything I've found on the subject is a year or more old.

The website is nhwchurchsc.org and the facebook is http://www.facebook.com/NewHopeWesleyanSC. you can see on the facebook page exactly what I'm talking about.

The only social media addon I'm using is Simple Share Buttons Adder.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

but it will not go away from facebook posts

Changing you site will not change previous posts on Facebook, just future ones.

There are plenty of plugins that work well with the current Open Graph Protocol. Here is link to the debugger provided by Facebook:

I would update to 3.8 before testing new plugins.
