• I just installed WordPress 2.3 locally here, and now when I go edit a post, everywhere I’ve inserted HTML entites (mainly less and greater than signs, < and >) those entities are gone and replaced by their repective characters. When I then save that post, it’s totally messed up because of all those < and > in there.

[Edit] That’s pages that this stuff happens on, not posts.

So say I enter & I end up getting simply &. Same goes for all entities, but in pages only, posts are fine apparently.

By the way, I did a fresh install, without any plugins.

  • I have the same problem… Is there a way to simply switch off the replacement of the entities? Does anyone know?
