HTML editor that does not clean-up markup (4 posts)

Does anyone know of a text editor plugin that won't clean-up my HTML?

It becomes a problem when adding schema.org attributes to <span> or adding the unbalanced </noscript> tag for GWO, among other things. They keep getting stripped out by whatever editor I use. Or, they get stripped out as soon as I go to the visual view.

I'd just like an editor that won't keep trying to help me, or which gives me the option to stop it helping me.

What's wrong with using the default HTML editor?

Trying adding some schema.org tags and then switching to visual editor. They get stripped out.

A similar thing happens for Google Website Optimizer, which requires a </noscript> tag with no balancing <noscript> before it.

I know there are solutions for these individual things, but I'd rather just have something that doesn't keep trying to fix my markup for me whatever it is I'm doing.

    then switching to visual editor.

The issue us with the Visual Editor - not the HTML tab. If you're adding markup, use the HTML tab and stick to it.
