HTML ?

This plugin would be perfect if I could add links in the description.
If I use HTML, backslashs are added before and after the “:
For instance ‘test‘
Thank you for your help.

Dear Choblab, I am sorry that I haven’t responded earlier, I hadn’t gotten a notification of the topic, my apologies!
I will check if that is something I can support 🙂 When using HTML in a plugin it will be secured by default, I will check if I can support HTML in the description and come back to you on this!
Dear Choblab, I have added this functionality. Do you want to test this for me? You can just update your plugin. The HTML functionality is (for now) only available at the name-descriptions.
@jeroenpeters1986 This is great! I updated the plugin and everything works perfectly. I spent a lot of time to find a good plugin that I could use as a lexicon or a directory and Name Directory is by far the best!
The next step could be a simple wysiwyg editor 😉Glad to hear! I made a note about the wysiwyg editor, but I don’t think I will support it in the coming month. That’s a bigger step for me.
Would you mind rating the plugin? I hope this helps in the rankings 🙂Hi jeroenpeters1986,
Congrats for your plugin. As Choblab said, I’ve also struggled to find a good plugin of that kind and think I have find the #1 !!Yes, the WYSIWYG editor would be a step further.
I’d like to insert images from the media library so maybe I’ll have to check in which folder it has been uploaded and then put the appropriate link ? Is there a better way ?One thing I’ve noticed is after a name/description update (Save Name button), when we click another time on Edit it doesn’t work, we have to go back to main menu to come again and edit. Just a little point.
Also, I’d like to have the plugin translated in french. So I’m Ok to translate it and give it to you for one of the next release. But, where do I start from ?
Cheers
Patrick
Hi Patrick,
thank you for your feedback. I will investigate the edit/update issue.
I am not sure if there is another way to quickly get the appropriate link of an image. Don’t you see the after upload?
I really appreciate it that you want to translate it. I can give you all the English texts in a ‘catalog file’. With this file, you can translate it to French using PO-edit: http://www.poedit.net/download.php
If you want to translate, maybe we can start another topic and continue there.
I’ve managed to display images, so it works with the appropriate link to the image.
Another thing I forgot to mention is the description field is not showing when we activate the option.
To customize the ‘visual’ side of the listing, I think it’s in the name_directory.css files ?
For the translations, you can attach the file here or by email ?
Cheers
Hi Antoine, I´m not sure how I can email you. You can e-mail me with my username here @gmail.com 😉
Then I will supply you with the .pot-file (the translation file).
You can edit the name_diretory.css file, but it’s best to everride the classes/styles in your own css file (so if the plugin updates, you wont lose your custom style).
Hi,
Maybe it could be a good idea to add a search engine box like here http://boomerlifestyle.com/glossary/ for example.
Because at the moment, the default WP search engine is not collecting the info about the directories, may it be possible to add one.
Is it possible ?Cheers
Hi Antoine69,
this week I’m gonna check if I can add a searchbox 🙂 Sorry for the delay. Someone has already opened a topic about this. You can find it in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/searchable-1?replies=2
