   I want to use the "day and name" permalink structure. However, I already have a mod_rewrite in my .htaccess file. Also, wordpress is installed in a folder called blog2, but the url is http://blog.domain.com. How can I make my old module work along with the new rewrite module for wordpress?

   Is wordpress writing your .htaccess file for you or do you have to do it manually?
