htaccess issues... (1 post)

Not strictly a WP question, but I've offered enough answers here, I'm hoping somebody might be able to point me in the right direction anyway...

I'm on Godaddy (first mistake). My sites went nutty this afternoon. They insist they changed no settings. I'm not sure I buy that, since I didn't change anything today either. Didn't even write a blog post. I fairly sure I haven't been hacked, but hard to say since they don't give error/access logs.

    Here's what's up:

The requested URL /abrown//x-httpd-php5/abrown/text/about/contact.php was not found on this server.

Until today, the first part of that URL wouldn't have been there. It would have said /abrown/text/about/contact.php.

I tried adding a re-write to my htaccess to manually remove the "x-httpd-php5" from the URL, but to no avail--it must be getting added in later.

Anyway, if anybody has any tips, please advise.
