Hi, i have been building my wordpress in a sub folder like this (while my old site stays live):

    http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress

When its ready to go live how can i keep it here but use .htaccess to change the url and 'hide' the sub folder name so it reads http://www.mydomain.com
I want to do this so i dont have to risk moving the wordpress site.

    Thanks

    Bradz

okay ive followed the instruction in the last link, it works.

just one thing -probably the .htaccess and permalinks, in the root i have:

http://www.site.com/index.php and the .ht access file

then in a sub directory i have all the other wordpress stuff. The problem is when i go to http://www.site.com/index.php then click on another link its searching for a page which is officially in the sub directory so whats happening after i got to the index in the root and click for another page is:

    http://www.site.com/apage (doesnt find it)
where in fact the page is actually here: http://www.site.com/wordpress/apage

    does that make sense..hope so!
