Htaccess accidentally deleted and all the links broken. Mod_rewrite problem? (4 posts)

    Hi!

I have installed a Shanpshot theme from WooThemes.
Accidentally I delete the htaccess file and every link on the page is broken. I search for information to fix and I think that is a mod_rewrite to produce permalinks errors.

How can I know what is the code that I must add to the htaccess to fix the page?

    Thanks!!

    start by recreating your permalinks

    go Dashboard Settings / Permalinks

Look at what your current permalink settings are.

Set permalinks to default and save the change.

Then set permalinks to what they were before you changed them to default and save the change.

This forces WordPress to rewrite its htaccess settings,

There may have been other settings in your htaccess not directly coming from WordPress. If you still have problems after resetting permalinks ask your webhost if they can give you a backup copy.

    Lot of thanks stvwlf.

I am having the same problem after making some edits to htaccess. I undid all of my changes though and still all of my pages are showing up without a stylesheet. I tried changing the permalink settings like stvwlf said to do but it's still broken.
