HT Access to large making the site very slow loading

    I have had http://www.nhlakesproperty.com for about 1 year and I have been looking for a solution to why it is so slow to load.
    I was told that the H T Access is 8.5 mega bits and the whole site is loading just to open the home page. How can I correct this. Please help

    Your .htaccess is file is over 8,500,000 bits or bytes?

    There are 8 bits per byte. Most measure the size of these types of files in bytes.

    Not sure why anyone would have one that size.

    I would say post the contents of your .htaccess file on http://pastbin.com and copy the link here so we can examine, but I’m not sure if pastebin will allow you to post one that size. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try.
