I just installed WordPress MU, and i am very happy with it.
Is there a way to keep the userdatabase of all blogs synced so that every autor can login on every site and make posts?

    regards

and the cookies should work on all sites too...

  3. So... is it not doing that for you? Because it should be default.

anyone logged in to the network should be logged in to all sites.

havign author privs on each site is a different issue.

Yupp, you were right, my fault.

Can you help me with that?

Every new user shall have the right to post on some sites that i have created (but not all, how to manage that?), and every user shall have his own site, which should be created when a new user registers: it needs to get named by the users nickname. users are not allowed to create own sites.

One other thing: Media-library needs to be disabled for everybody exept the admin-group. how to do that?

  5. every user shall have his own site, which should be created when a new user registers: it needs to get named by the users nickname.

This is built in. Just... create a site...

users are not allowed to create own sites.

Disable it in the super admin options.

Yes i know, but the new user can choose the name of the site, i want that the name is automaticly the same like his nickname.

also the sitetitle: it should be %USERNAME%'s rig

Privacy option shall be not chooseable too.
    (Yes for all)

another thing that irritates me is that i have only one theme installed, and it is activated for the network. but nevertheless, default theme for new sites it twentyten -.-

  8. Oh... This can be done in wp-config now.

    Isn't it define('WP_DEFAULT_THEME', "themename");

Where themename is the name of your default theme (the FOLDER name, not the theme's pretty name, so twentyten or hybridnews ;) )
