How would you organize 3000 posts

    Howdy!
    I have a 10 year old blog that I need to organize.
    I have way too many categories and some don’t have categories at all.
    There are plugins to combine categories etc. But I’m more wondering how you would go about giving categories to the posts that are missing categories.

    To know what belongs where I would have to see the post…
    What would you suggest?
    Is there a way to get the “quick-edit” options but on the front end of the blog instead of the back end?

    Preferably I would like to scroll down the blog and just have checkboxes for the categories to check.

    Right now, my best bet is to list all the posts in the back end, Shift-click each post to open in a new window, decide where it belongs and then tab back to the back-end and set it.
    Seems a little tedious.
