How would you compare your plugin to Versionpress?

    The former may not be released under GPL or be free, as far as I understand it.

    Hi Ovidiu,

    I’s Borek, creator of VersionPress here. While I haven’t personally used WP Git Deploy, by looking at its source code it looks like it’s just a convenience switch between multiple environments. VersionPress is very different as its code actually contains version control logic like adding things to the repository, handling reverts etc.

    Another way of looking at it is that WP Git Deploy is a couple of lines of code while VersionPress will have thousands of them.

    Thanks Borek for the feedback. I simply love the sound of your plugin. Sounds like a self-run and hosted Vaultpress to me.
