    Hello,
I have theoretical site in mind. I was wondering if I could get your help in planning it.

Lets say that I want to build a site that has three main sections: Italian Cooking, Chinese Cooking, and Indian Cooking.
And I set these three items as the main Nav across the top.
When a user clicks on one of these, he gets taken to that section of the site. And each section has its own vertical sub menu on the left. For example if you click on Italian food it takes you to a section where every page has a vertical nav that says, Soup, pasta, Bread. And the sub nav in the Indian pages would say; Rice, Curry, Paratha.

How would you approach this in WordPress?

    Here is my thought:
I setup three pages Indian, Italian, Chinese. Then I create all the other pages and set them as child pages.
Then "somehow" (haven't figured out how) I only print the links to the top level pages in the top navigation.
And "somehow" all the sub pages will contain the links to their siblings on the left.

I am very new to WordPress so any pointer would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Three different categories with posts filed under the correct category.
Category links displayed on the nav menu.
Category templates used to call different sidebars.

Might also want to use conditional tags to only display certain things only those category pages.
