Hello Everyone! I sure hope this is the right place for this post. I didn't see anything for SEO and to me this falls in the "once its up and running" section.
Yep, Im a noob. But at least I have been all over google trying to figure this out. I have read that I should try and do it myself so I am going to try. I probably couldn't afford to hire someone anyway being a student and no job. sigh... Anyway...
So, what I have read is a lot of it is based on content and posts. Well what if your site has a blog, but its not really a blog that would need to be updated very often, and is used for minor announcements? And what if the content is user profiles and not really anything else? See, I am working on a Christian dating site. A very saturated market... but nonetheless I need to try to get visible on the search engines. I have registered and verified to google, yahoo, and bing. I have also added my site to facebook and twitter, with social icons.
I have tried the plugin "WordPress SEO by Yoast" but I don't really understand everything its talking about (even with research) and it really seems centered around more than what my site does or is capable of.
Please take a look at my site. Its still a work in progress but Im ready for the next step. I hope someone out there can point me in the right direction?
