How to use Post Name Permalink with a custom domain? (3 posts)

    I have a WP MU deploy. I'm using many subsites, all with the same base domain and diferent directories:

    http://www.prueba.com/ar (for Argentina)

    http://www.prueba.com/uy (for Uruguay)

    http://www.prueba.com/cl (for Chile)

    I want to set up a diferent subdomain for Brazil as:

    http://www.prova.com (for Brazil)

    Since Brazil's language is Portuguese and Spanish "prueba" = Portuguese "prova"

    It's working, the only problem is it doesn't work with the permalink configuration called Post name "http://www.prueba.com/ar/sample-post/" (more friendly) BUT only with the Default configuration "http://www.prova.com//?p=123"

    I can't figure out how to make it work with the special Portuguese domain AND post name permalinks.

    Any advice?

    Thanks guys,

    Sandra Vega

    That's not a subdomain, that's a mapped domain (yes it matters ;) )

    How did you map the domain?

    Thanks for your answer!
    Not sure if this is what you are asking:

    On the site-info page:
    domain: http://www.prova.com
    path: /
    Update siteurl & home checked.

    I'm not managing the server, the manager created an alias (not sure if alias is the proper technical name) for this children site, just to make it look more friendly for Portuguese speakers. Physically, all the sites are in the same directory.

    Conf file on server side says
    <Directory "/mydir/wordpress">
    Options FollowSymLinks Includes
    AllowOverride All
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    </Directory>

    Hope that's what you are asking, if not, please let me know
    And thanks again for your answer.
    :D
