How to use images to change my posts_nav? (5 posts)

    i noticed that posts_nav_link tag ( http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/posts_nav_link ) can only output the text links, how to use images on it?

    How about using the CSS image replacement techniques for these? Since you know where the prev link goes and where the next link goes, you could easily attach a CSS class to them.

    alrescha has a point. it's the easyiest and most painless method.

    but the real trick would be to get the other functions to output images as well. for example, if the wp_list_pages could return individual images and/or the text for individual posts/pages, that would be a killer plugin.

    anyone? ideas?

    In 2.1 I've hacked the classes.php to not only display the page_item class, but also my page slugs as a class for all links. IMHO that should be standard. Read my post on this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/104396?replies=2
    Except I changed the id for class just because of an ID clash as I describe in the post...
