   I was missing the "uploads" file on WP so I added it to the wp-content directory. I still can't upload images to the folder through FTP (FileZilla) or the Media Library upload feature. In both cases the name will appear but the image only has the box on the upper left dside with the red X. No error code appears. My web designer says it is a permission problem and Bluehost says it is a WP problem. The permission from what I could tell is 755.

   I've read through this forum and anything related to my issue is beyond my understanding.

   I would really appreciate any help to resolve this issue. Please keep it basic so I can understand.

   Any Ideas ?

   Chmod the wp-contents folder to 766. If that doesn't work, try 767 or 777 as a last resort. I'd also suggest removing the uploads folder that you created and re-uploading the images.
