   I'm new to this and have been trying to follow instructions to upload a plugin. I have the following message:

   Upload stats.php to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

   I've got the file stats.php but how do I upload it to this directory. This is probably very basic but I need an idiots guide so please be nice!

   You can either go to "plugins" -> "add new" and search for your plugin or upload your plugin (under the "upload" option) in zip format.

   Or you can get yourself an FTP client, and upload it manually to your website. FTP is the most common way of commecting to a server like this.
