How to upload a list of stories in excel?

    Hello all

    Thanks for the great help so far. What Iam looking to do is upload an excel sheet I have. It has titles and the full story text. What would be the best way to do this?

    Also I have looked at a few ad spot mang. plug-ns, but what do you all use to place ads around your site?

    Are you aware that visitors who don’t have excel installed won’t see your stories? And why would you want to force them to open another application just to read what you’ve posted? (just thinking aloud…)

    Thanks for the reply.

    I just have them in another site that would spit out an excel sheet. Instead of putting each one in i want to upload the stories into the WP db. I dont want them in the excel sheet, I want to find a quick way to import all of them. Did that make sense?

    I did some searches on bulk posting it looks like iam getting a little closer but no luck yet

    It makes sense now, though your initial question was different. (Since WP has an “Upload” feature which is used by many users to upload pics, .doc and .pdf files etc. my first thought was about really uploading the excel files 🙂
    I don’t know of any tools for converting excel files into the WP db. All the content is stored in the database, so any content has to be “imported” into the db.
