Hi all, your kind reply is very higly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I installed WordPress a while ago using the 1-click WP installer of Freehostia. However, the version available is still 3.1.2.

When I checked my WP blog to find for the automatic update button, I didn't find any.

Instead, this is what I can only read on my WP update section:

You have the latest version of WordPress.

You have the latest version of WordPress. You do not need to update. However, if you want to re-install version 3.1.2, you can do so automatically or download the package and re-install manually:

    My question again is:

How do I perform the WP udpate/upgrade to version 3.2.1 from 3.1.2?
There are no update links available as mentioned above.

Thanks, and looking forward to hear from you.

You could download it from this site and then copy the files in to the directory where you have installed WP - This will overwrite the files of the same name and cause WP to run a database update when you next go to your site. That should do the trick, but make sure you backup your site and database first, just in case!

    Thanks for the reply.

I manually installed WP version 3.2.1 using Filezilla.
The prompt message said it was a successful installation.
But when I accessed my dashboard, all I got was a BLANK page.

I renamed plugins, themes, made a new database, re-installed WP -- to no avail. I followed some tutorial but none worked.

How should I rectify the issue? Thanks!

    [UPADATE]

I finally found a very good solution to my problem, which allowed me to manually update WP 3.1.2 to 3.2.1 and completely getting rid of the BLANK page problem I encountered on my first few tries.

It is true that renameing/deactiving-reactivating plugins and themes on my database didn't work for me.

For this reason, I changed my FTP client from Filezilla to SmartFTP.
I guess the problem was on the file transfer itself.
I noteiced some failed file transfers when I used Filezilla, but all files where smoothly transferred when using SmartFTP.

If none of the "how to get rid of the WordPress blank page tips" worked for you, try switching your FTP client first.

    Thanks! :)
