   During my last upgrade to WordPress 2.5.1 I had all Croatian characters like čćžšđ transformed into some bizzare symbols which made text difficult to read. Even when I set up the charset on new WordPress, my old posts were still missing Croatian characters.
   I'm about to upgrade WordPress from 2.5.1 to 2.8.5 now, but I am afraid I'm going to have my posts "mutated" again ... and I don't want to modify over 500 posts manually!! What can I do to keep my current charset during automatic upgrade via Fantastico?

   Hi,

   You need to upgrade manually your wordpress version with all the files and folder except the language and wp-content folder.
