I want to "Upgrade automatically" from WordPress MU 2.9.2 to WordPress 3.0.5. But the option "Upgrade Automatically" doesn't give the option and want to upgrade to WordPress 3.1.
Is there a way to bypass this issue?

I don't think you can, but maybe someone else knows of a way. Is there any reason you can't simply do a manual update via FTP?

I'm working on a local copy. As you proposed, I'll try the manual update instead. :)
