    We have been playing with the twenty eleven theme, and it has a built in Ephemera widget, this widget will display different custom post types in the sidebar.

    We used this for the Digital Raindrops website home page, which is made up of customized widgets, these have extra styles and features.

    Yes we know that there are widgets that can do this, this one has several different layout options, and we wanted to work with the widget code.

    We have now created a twenty eleven child theme with a cut down category post widget, twenty eleven category post widget, if you are a member you can login and download it, if you do not want to register there is an email address send an email and we will sent the theme.
