How to turn WP 3.x.x in2 a social network?

    Hey, guyz !
    1st. This is my first post here, and my English is not gud at all, thatz why I will ask you to not blame me about certain thingz.TY!
    2nd. I’v read many tutorials before just posting this topic.Don’t tell me to ask google =)

    I am tryin’ to make a website, where ppl. can upload their own (photos/docs/images/muzic/so on…) in different categories.
    My idea is to make this ppl. have their own “wall like” (facebook for ex.) and I can chose which of this uploaded files or articles to show on the “main wall” of the site (which is not the homepage).
    = Maybe this is not very clear for you.I’ll try to explain it better after a while. =
    I just want to mention that I already used some plugins and methods to realise this, but in the working process I realised that they will not do the magic:
    [- buddypress ]
    WHY NO?: too many plugins to install countering each other / make my website theme look awful / can’t handle the widjets.
    [- phpbb3 forum bridje]
    WHY NO?: I can’t find a workin’ bridje between any forum and wordpress
    [-bbPress]
    WHY NO?: again as bpress too many plugins and the resault is not even better than phpbb3 =\
    [-wp multisite solution]
    WHY NO?: cuz ppl. have space to upload things, but other users can’t see those things if they don’t have link =\

    Again, back to the topic. I know wut I want !
    I want users to register, than make profile with own url like: user.site.com or site.com/user, then post on their own wall different files, and when some of the users want to search only for (videos) for example they see all the uploaded videos.If they want to search for user…they find him/her and his/her artwork (portfolio).
    Can someone give advice or even help =]

    The standard solution is BuddyPress. Even though that’s what everyone else that wants this uses, you seem to discount it because of all of the “plugins”. There’s only one plugin really, but there’s just alot more parts to it – mainly because a social netowrk is a very involved system.

    If you know what you want, and it’s not currently available, your choices are to either:

    1. Wait for someone to write if and release it as a plugin for you
    2. Pay someone to write it for you
    3. learn to program and write it yourself

    I know that this is not going to be what you want to hear, but thats how it is. Woredpress is very cusomisable, and can do what you want it to, but you have to tell it how to do that, and that means custom programming.

    So True !
    I am on the right way to my solution. I am not person who will stop fighting for… just 24% ready but when it is 100% I’ll give you link to see what was in my mind =).
    I am using wordpress form 4 years like and most of my sites were made on its’ platform.I agree with you completly.Thank you for the “on time” answer and any others will be highly appreciated ! ^^
