I am in the process of creating a new WordPress.org website but have subscribers from WordPress.com I would like to transfer over to the new site.

Does anyone know a way I can transfer them over without losing them?

    Thanks

    Brandon

    Hi Esmi,

Thank you for the instructions, I don't see anywhere in the article about transferring over subscribers from wordpress.com to wordpress.org?

    Am I missing something?

    thx

Oh sorry! I thought it was covered in there. Are these your feed subscribers?

Were you using your own domain name at your wordpress.com site? If so, have you now moved that DN to your self-hosted site?

I was forwarding a domain name to a wordpress.com site

Now I have a self hosted site with another domain name.

    Why do you ask?

Because if you had moved the domain name over to your self-hosted site, your feed subscribers would have automatically followed the feed. From their perspective, nothing would have changed. But as this is a new domain name, you can't "move" them over. The best you can do is post about it on your wordpress.com site and give people a link to your new RSS.
