   Do I need to configure anything to get trackback notifications?

   I noticed when I link to some one else's blog, a trackback entry is created in their comment section. Does WordPress also do this or how will I know if some one is linking to me?

   Almost true. Actually, that's a "pingback" - if it is coming from a link inside of your post's text.
