   So, I just published my first post, and pinged about 30 sites. It took about 5 minutes to post, so I'm pretty sure that it was pinging, but the page that loaded had a bunch of PHP/mySQL errors related to Smart Update Pinger.

   Is there anyway to tell if it actually pinged (I don't want to ping the same post twice)?

   Yes, with the new version of Smart Update Pinger it gives you a detailed log function: http://ultimateplugins.com/smart-update-pinger/
