I am working with a newsletter plugin for WP, and I need to make a newsletter template with css. I have a seperate stylesheet, I need to tell the template to read it, however WP keeps on removing my <html> and <head> tags in the code for my template. The editor for the plugin is the same as for the posts. Any Ideas on how I can stop WP from doing this? I really need to get my newsletters out.

Are you making these as posts, pages, or theme templates?

Techinically they are posts, but they get sent out as a whole newsletter

Then you can’t use those tags. A page generated in HTML or XHTML may only have one set of <html> and <head> tags. If WordPress were to allow to make a post like you were trying to, your blog would have two sets of <html> and <head> tags which would break every search engine bot and most browsers.

What are using to send the newsletters?

Don’t worry about it, we’ve all been there. 🙂
