I implemented the Get Recent Comments which is cool, but I find that the Recent Trackback feature is reporting my own posts as a trackback. I know it is because I linked to one of my own posts, but how can I exclude myself from the Trackback feature? Can anyone help?

Use relative links rather than absolute links. Ex:
    <a href="/archives/03/03/2004/this-is-my-post/">This is my post</a>

I tried this (and all sorts of combinations of m/d/y, but only got a 404 page not found error.

macmanx’s point is that you should use a relative version of your permalink instead of an absolute one (http://etc.), but not to use that specific format.

Checking your site, you seem to have /archives/%post_id% for your permalink structure, so for say post 223 on your blog, you would link to it as:

    /archives/223
